Description

Maca (Lepidium Meyenii Walp) is a root that grows only in the highland zones of the Peruvian Andes, on the Junin Plateau, at an altitude of 4,250 meters. The hardy plant has always been part of the diet and is already consumed worldwide for its many beneficial properties. MacaPro Powder 6:1 is a concentrated Maca powder made from selected dark Maca roots – 80% black Maca, 15% purple Maca and 5% yellow Maca. It meets the criteria for raw food and the EU – Organic – Regulation. The unique and very gentle manufacturing process allows a more concentrated powder, which is more easily absorbed and digested by the body.

Which Maca is the best?

The quality differences of Maca roots between the different cultivation areas are very large. Therefore, only products based on Maca roots from Junin, Peru, which have been cultivated traditionally and pesticide-free by small farmers, are recommended. Maca products of high quality are made from the dark Maca roots (black and red-purple). In these, the typical properties of Maca are much more pronounced and therefore always preferable. The selection of the roots according to size and growth also represents an essential quality feature.

Concentrated products – why?

If you consider that people in the growing regions often consume 50-100g of Maca per day and compare that to the 1-5g recommended in western countries, it is not surprising that many people do not yet know the effects of Maca. So it makes a lot of sense to offer Maca products in concentrated form, so that even with small daily intakes you can feel the wonderful effects of Maca.
